The City's Public Works Department would like to acquaint you with its staff and services. Since the City incorporated on December 31, 1999, many changes have occurred throughout our Palm Coast community. From our perspective, one very big change has been the transition from what was known for years as the "Road and Bridge Department" under a Flagler County Service District. Currently, the Department is comprised of Public Works Administration, Streets & Drainage Maintenance, Traffic Shop, Fleet Maintenance, and Facilities Maintenance. As of January 12, 2002 administration of the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal services contract for the City of Palm Coast has also come under this Department.
Now that Palm Coast is an incorporated municipality, "Road and Bridge" is no more. Today, it is the Public Works Department for the City of Palm Coast. The address has remained the same, but beyond that a great deal has changed. This is a good opportunity to acquaint the citizens in this ever-growing community with our new department.
